Steve Furbish, a.k.a. "Uncle Steve"

I first became Uncle Steve when I was fourteen years old and the nieces and nephews never stopped coming. Now I believe
that I am great great Uncle Steve (man that sounds old) I grew up listening to Hendrix, CSNY, Jackson Browne, The Beatles
(of course) and the usual wide variety of “Boomer” (I hate that term) stuff. One of my greatest musical accomplishments
was recording two albums of original material at Thomas Eaton Recording in Newburyport Ma. One of my biggest regrets was trading my friend Tom LaCroix's Hoffner Beatle bass for a sitar with a cracked
neck back in 1972. What the hell was I thinking!

Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana; music is in Melissa's soul. At age 17, Melissa had
her start in the famous New Orleans French Quarter where she sang lead vocals and harmonies for two different rock and
blues bands. Her next move led her to Texas where she joined a band called Vince Vance and the Valiants,
best known for their 90's hit, "All I Want for Christmas is you." Since then, Melissa has been singing
everything from rock to R&B in various bands in Louisiana, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She has a soulful voice
and dynamic presence that fronts The Uncle Steve Band and reflects her years of experience and passion for music.

Having grown up in a musical family, Josh has many musical influences. Some
of his favorites include, Pearl Jam, Bob Marley, The Funky Meters, and Muddy Waters. He has been playing in bands since high
school where the infamous "Dog in a Fishbowl" first developed. He has played in bands in New Orleans, Massachusetts
and New Hampshire. Josh can play guitar, bass, vocals, percussion and anything else you stick in front of him, but his signature
instrument is the harmonica. That boy can blow some mean blues!

Drums, Bass, and Vocals. – He
is the best drummer I know and plays a mighty sweet bass to boot. He can sing like a choirboy or rumble like the new pipes
on his Harley. “Uncle Buzz” is a veteran of such legendary bands as; “The Salt Creek Hog Grinders”,
“Duck, Dodge and Hyde”, “Shotgun Sally”, “The Buzztones” and all previous versions of
“USB”. Whatever we’re playing, Buzz has the skill and musical common sense to lay down just the right foundation
to keep the rest of us from flying off into space, God bless him.

Scott's parents met in a marching band so music has always been a part of his life. He played
the trumpet until one day he brought a Lonnie Johnson record home from the library, after that it was all guitar all the time.
Scott taught himself to play listening to "The Blues After Hours" radio program. The Uncle Steve Band's
newest member brings some sweet blues, slides and voice adding a new dimension and groove. Scott has played in churches,
bars, and prisons and felt at home in all of them.

He is the second newest member of the band. One day Rich sat in with us at
one of our shows and now it seems like he's always been there. He built his own house, he builds his own instruments, his
talents never end. Rich has taken a big step away from his first musical love, Bluegrass, to play with USB and we're
happy about that. P.S.- He made that mando in the picture.
